Birthright of Greater Taunton is being supported by this event
The CrossPointe 5K will help new moms in need. It's a 5K run/walk event for the entire family. Proceeds go to Birthright of Greater Taunton (http://birthright.org/taunton). They help counsel moms (and dads) before and after birth. Birthright also supplies formula, diapers, clothing, wipes, baby items (e.g., car seats, strollers), and furniture to financially challenged families. Won't you help us make a difference in their lives this Mother's Day weekend?
5K Participants
5K Runners/Walkers start time is 10 AM. At the event, one free tee-shirt will be given to the first fifty people who registered! Select your tee-shirt while registering. Additional tee-shirts can be purchased for $10 apiece.
For safety reasons, runners and walkers with strollers will line up at the back of the pack at the start line. NO DOGS, LEASHED OR UNLEASHED, ARE ALLOWED ON THE RACE COURSE.
Kids Run/walk
Adults participating with their children do not need to pay for or register themselves. Start time is 10:00 AM for runners aged 3 to 12.
For safety reasons, all children up to age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Bibs
Bibs can be picked up at the registration table at Mansfield High School on race day.
Parking
All parking will be at Mansfield Middle School across the street from the high school
Start Times
10:00 AM - 5K start
10:00 AM Kid's (3 years to 12 years old) with their parents.
Course
We will be following the "Lenny's Loop" course, which starts and ends at Mansfield High School.
Course Facilities
There are no facilities or food available on the course. Water will be supplied at the start and finish, and at 2 locations along the course. Please plan accordingly. Restrooms are accessibility at the high school at the beginning and end of the race.
Volunteers
CrossPointe 5K Volunteer Guidelines
• As a volunteer, you are an ambassador for Birthright International and CrossPointe Church. You must treat runners, guests, participants, and other volunteers with the utmost courtesy and respect.
• As a volunteer, take pride in your role! You are a part of one of Mansfield's greatest events! Attire should include clean pants and comfortable shoes. Our event will take place regardless of safe weather conditions. Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. We recommend dressing in layers as the weather can change quickly.
• Be prepared to answer many types of questions. Familiarize yourself with the course map and schedule of events. You can find this information on our website, mom.racewire.com or our Facebook page, facebook.com/CrossPointe to learn more about our event.
• You can sign up for as many shifts and roles as you like. Please make sure they don't overlap! Once you sign up, we depend on your commitment to being a part of our event. Your prompt arrival and completion of your shift(s) are vital to its success. When you sign up, you have committed to being present for that specific shift during the entire length of that shift.
• Until 2 days prior to your scheduled shift, you are able to change or cancel your day or assignment by contacting the event coordinator listed on the RaceWire event page.
• On the day of the event, if you become ill or are otherwise unable to fulfill your commitment, please contact the event coordinator listed on the RaceWire event page ASAP.
• You may not consume any alcoholic beverages, vape, or smoke during your volunteer shift. We discourage texting or talking on your cell phone during your volunteer shift, unless it is an emergency
• Your assignment is complete when a staff member releases you. If you have not been released at the end of your shift, please contact a lead volunteer or staff member. If you are on the course, your assignment is complete when the balloon team passes and you have cleaned up your area.
• Children under the age of 7 may not be with you during your volunteer shift. Children between the ages of 7 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Pets are not allowed with you during your volunteer shift.
• Depending on race needs, volunteer assignments may be reallocated. Please be flexible.
